21 Jan Burning tips for your candles
My name is Lisa and I love nothing more than relaxing aroma of a good scented candle.
When I get a chance I will light one and drift away into my favourite book or magazine – once the kids have gone to bed ( as this is “me time” )
I also light one for when I have my shower, it’s part of my routine at night.
We here at Littleboy Candles wanted to share some candle care tips for you to help you get the most from your candles.
Here are a couple of tips for you;
The First Burn is the Most Important!
When you light your candle for the first time, always allow the wax to burn so that it melts across the entire surface to the edges and pools to the edges of the container. This will effectively assist in preventing tunnelling and help promote an even burn for the duration of the candle’s life.
Blackened Edges of Glass
If your candle glass starts to blacken with use, remember to keep the wick trimmed. Also always wait until after the candle is extinguished and cooled before removing the black marks with a dry paper towel.
Maximising your Scent Throw
In order to maximise fragrance scent throw in a room, keep doors and windows closed and burn for 30 minutes. Opening windows and doors will help the scent to disperse.
At Littleboy Candles, we use only 100% all natural soy wax.
Why Soy Wax?
Cleaner burning. No toxins, carcinogens or pollutants which means our candles are less likely to trigger allergies. And no petrol-carbon soot like you get from petroleum-based paraffin candles.
Longer lasting. Soy wax burns cooler which means that you can enjoy your soy wax candle for generally 30-50% longer than a paraffin candle.
We hope that these couple of tips assist you in getting the most from your favourite brand of candle.
Have a great week.
