A few years ago CEO of Christie & Christie, Julia Christie a Banora Point mother of 3 joined many parents the world over who were concerned about trimming their babies soft delicate nails. Julia started to question the safety of available trimmers after having an accident when trimming her newborn sons nails. Feeling frustrated that no change had been made to the design of traditional methods in over 140 years. She set about inventing an alternative the Nail Snail. With a background in teaching, she set about educating parents and carers on the benefits of using her Nail Snail through demonstrations at reputable baby expos across Australia. In the process she created a dedicated following of happy parents, who were happy to spread their positive experience to other parents. The multi award winning design has been featured as a top 10 finalist on Australia by Design, won an Australian Good Design Award and well as winning Ausmumpreneur for 2018 in her category. This year she has been invited to be an Ausmumpreneur judge at this prestigious event.
The Australian company is based on the sunny Gold Coast and employs a small team of dedicated mums who also have a personal relationship with the product and help to contribute to the ongoing success of the Nail Snail.

The Nail Snail is a 3 in 1 Baby nail trimmer for babies and children from birth to 5 years. It offers an easier, safer, and faster option than scissors, clippers, nail files, and biting. The Nail Snail first appeared as a doodle on a piece of paper at 3am one morning in 2014. Turquoise Nail Snail is the original nail trimmer and it’s compact snail shape makes it cute and appealing to children. It’s ergonomic design allows for left and right handed use. The Nail Snail’s construction employs a team of specialists who utilise a sophisticated manufacturing process. Sourcing high quality materials the Nail Snail is dishwasher safe ensuring it won’t rust, tarnish or fall apart.
