Studying Mum life

Is it just me or as a Mum do you feel crazy on those days you get absolutely nothing or bare minimum done? I have had a week like that, everything has just gone out the window and today I have finally caught up.

I think this is part of the reason why I like studying, because it gives me a great sense of accomplishment to get it done, in addition to achieving what has been a goal/dream for so many years.

Yes it is not always easy and sometimes I do get very stressed out, I get behind, I don’t do as well as I expected, I struggle with going to the on campus sessions (required once a semester), but getting those results at the end of the semester that say hey you did it or hey you actually did really well, mean so much to me, and every result notification is that one step closer to me being in the career I have always wanted to be in.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love being a Mother and being home with my children, but sometimes, I struggle with the arduousness of the tasks. I enjoy cleaning and having things tidy and in order. I love cooking and making my kids food, but just the repetitiveness and relentlessness of it all makes it seem like you are banging your head against a brick wall when you do it every day with the same result.

So studying, for me, is something that I do for me, to make me feel happy and accomplished. As I said, the juggle is not easy, many times it is hard, but for me it’s mandatory.
