Kookaberry Farm is located in the south of the Yarra Valley, only an hour’s drive from Melbourne. Tony and Frances were born here, and their parents were berry growers, too. Frances, who sometimes refers to her husband as “Hubby Tony,” likes to keep things simple when making jam. She believes that great jam can only be made using great fruit. Frances doesn’t add preservatives, additives or artificial colors, and she produces the jams in small batches. Kookaberry makes strawberry, raspberry, boysenberry, blackberry, 3 berry and Fig jams—all from fruit grown on the farm. It also produces blueberry jams, using fruit from Local Australian farms.
Frances and Tony know When the warm summer wind blows through the valley, they welcome visitors to purchase jams vinegars and syrups at the farm gate of their farm. The best time to visit is October –May, when the fields are absolutely bursting with fruit or online.
The couple has been winning gold, silver and bronze medals for their homemade jams and syrups consistently since 2006. Today, the farm welcomes visitors to purchase the homemade products.
Besides jams and fresh fruit, Kookaberry farm produces Raspberry & Strawberry vinegar , & recently added Raspberry & Strawberry Balsamic vinegars to their range these products have been wining major awards in Sydney melbourne and Hobart fine food shows.
